Immersion Cooling Technology for Data Centers
High-density compute doesn’t fail because the average temperature is too high — it fails because hot spots are too hot. Our immersion cooling program is built around what we’ve done for decades: apply fluid dynamics and heat transfer to remove heat reliably, repeatably, and efficiently across real-world hardware.
Technics has been designing and building thermal conditioning systems since 1995—conditioning fuels, coolants, and lubricants for demanding aerospace and ground-vehicle R&D, and later developing ultra-precise thermal management applications for particle accelerator environments where water treatment and control precision are mission-critical.
Why our approach is different: engineered turbulence where it matters
Natural convection (and even “bulk” forced flow) can leave stagnant zones and boundary layers that limit heat transfer at the component level. Our architecture is focused on actively disrupting boundary layers and driving high-shear, turbulent flow at the primary heat sources—so the fluid does real work at the CPU/GPU/VRM level instead of bypassing around it.
Clean, dry, controlled fluid — because performance is a fluid-quality problem too
Immersion performance depends on keeping the thermal fluid stable over time. That’s why our designs incorporate the same quality discipline we use in critical fluid systems:
- Filtration and differential-pressure monitoring to protect downstream components and maintain consistent performance (a pattern already built into our LCTM systems).
- Particle monitoring and sampling provisions, including particle counter integration and cleanliness-class reporting methodologies used in other Technics measurement systems.
- Treatment and conditioning know-how from applications where water quality control (conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and chemistry) is essential to protecting equipment and uptime.
Built on 30 years of thermal conditioning in R&D and production
From precision temperature/flow/pressure conditioning platforms (LCTM) to high-performance test and validation systems, we build equipment where repeatability, instrumentation, and reliability are not optional.
We’ve delivered systems for demanding customers including NASA, Boeing, BAE, and United Defense as part of our aerospace and defense R&D portfolio.
